The 30 under 30 from Inc.com

On the homepage of NYU Stern there's a link referencing to the story "the 30 under 30" on Inc.com, which includes the story of a Stern Alumni-Kenny Lao. Look thru the stories of the 30 talented young enterpreneurs, their ideas for business are interesting and sometimes exotic. A fridge renting company serving 45 colleges nationwide? Sounds a little bizarre... But these two guys prove it a profitable business. And talking about the Stern Alumni Kenny, who ranks #15 on the list, he opened a restaurant/bar serving all kinds of dumplings! Yea, maybe I should open a Shanghainese Restaurant serving Fried Stinky Doufu in NYC haha~

Okay... my point is: the idea for business doesn't have to be big, it just need to be profitable! IB and MC are not the only places where fortunes are...

Then I figure I probably should stick to my plan of starting a fashion brand, and open my stores? But then how is an MBA gonna help with that? AH, gee... how should I position my career goal? (I'll need more time to think about it... painfully...)

Starting your own Fashion brand is a career goal which will surely benefit from an MBA.

Dont look for parallels. A bizz is a bizz is a bizz and MBA is bizz education :) Join the dots and the line shall appear :)

I like fried stinky tofu! That's going to be a very niche target. I'll be the 1st one in line. Actually my friend started her own jeans line. She's not a designer, nor manufacter. Just a good business woman. She designs some jeans, goes to the manufacter in NY for production, colors. She's got a good marketing and business head. Something a MBA can help strenghten.

And yup, the goals essay is gng to be painful. But then thats the most imp essay (as I see it), so fair enough! :)

Best of luck!

Starting your own fashion brand sounds very exciting. It all depends on the scale you are looking at. I have a friend who just employs three people, makes around 2 pieces a day, and sells it at high margins. he's happy, doesn't want to expand, and sells all his pieces. in that kind of a scenario, an mba might be a waste...

Breast Cancer under 30
Common Breast Cancer Myths

The first myth pertaining to this disease is that it only affects women.

Second myth that is associated with this disease is that if one has found a lump during an examination, it is cancer.

Third is that it is solely hereditary

The next myth associated with breast cancer is downright ridiculous. Would you believe, that in this day and age, some individuals still think that breast cancer is contagious?

Conversely, some individuals foolishly believe that breast size determines whether or not one gets cancer.

Finally, another myth that is associated with this disease is that it only affects older people. This is not so. Although the chance of getting breast cancer increases with age, women as young as 18 have been diagnosed with the disease.
